MAAN is a modern bed & breakfast consisting of two parts located
in Tatranská Štrba, 4 kilometres south of Štrbské Pleso. Tatranská
Štrba is an ideal base for a visit to the region..It is a great
place to spend holidays or weekends. Summer hiking in the High Tatras
is an unforgettable experience, even for less practiced walkers
- especially when one combines the main walk with short detours
to the nearby summits or valleys.A stay in the High Tatras is also
beneficial for people who suffer from allergies. Even in winter,
the Tatra Mountains resorts such as the nearby main ski resort Štrbské
Pleso and Tatranská Štrba are attractive destinations , for they
offer ideal conditions for cross-country and downhill skiing. In
Tatranská Štrba there are two ski-lifts and well-groomed pistes.
Only 5 minutes' walk from the pension there is a cog-wheel railway
that climbs to Štrbské Pleso in 15 minutes. Štrbské Pleso is the
starting point for a number of interesting hiking routes. Tatranská
Lomnica is another base for a visit to the region. Visitors can
take one of the two cable cars to the Skalnaté pleso and the observatory
, additional cable cars provide a link with Lomnický štít ,where
you can get one of the most spectacular views of the High Tatras.
Another popular activity for tourists is to take a raft trip on
the Dunajec river near Červený Kláštor.On rainy days ,you can visit
a number of caves, museums and historic sites around Tatranská Štrba.
Within a distance of 30 km there are thermal out-door swimming-pools
in Vrbov, Liptovský Ján and Bešeňová , which is open all year round.
There are many opportunities for eating out . Various catering facilities are within a short walking distance from the pension. Small hotels with restaurants, cafes and pubs and various places of entertainment are at your disposal.
